Passion for PURPLE!! Color your wedding

You can use purple as the main focus color or accent color like, purple and gold or purple silver. Either or go well with each other.

Or contract it with purple and lime green or purple and orange.

The Coast Guard and The Beauty

...So in love. So fabulousy in love; full of fun, style, and class.

Rachel and I met through a former bride of mine- Dr. Diaz-Roberts and I could tell that she had a lot of things she wanted to get accomplished.

She knew exactly what she wanted and what she needed me to do.

As an avid runner and exerciser- typical of her Sagitarian sun sign, she had a full plate- especially with work, the wedding, exercising, a fiance and school, she had begun wondering how she was going to get it all done.

I knew things had to get done and I would have to be there each step of the way to make sure all of her details were attended to. But first, I had to catch her. Shoot!

I should have stayed in the exercise program.

We checked her list and with my to do list, we matched up any missing parts. Next on the list the engagement pictures. It looks like I can check this off the list.

Style of the engagement pictures- were full of fun and a hint of 1940's retro style.

The use of red in the beads, the bike, her belt and lips were such an excellent accent piece and really gave the images a romantic yet fun flair. And red was the accent color in her wedding, so it ties in very well.

Not your typical wedding dress

In today's modern world of brides, the wedding gown is still one of the most held traditions. However it was not so long ago, before the white wedding dress was popularized in the 1800s among women of wealth, most brides just wore whatever dress was their best. Wealthy ladies had gowns designed for one wearing, but most people of merchant and commoner classes seldom had the money for such luxuries, so the bride simply wore the nicest thing she had, or had a new dress made that she intended to wear again.

The tradition of wearing white wedding gown came from Queen Victoria who chose to wear a white wedding gown, not because it symbolized purity, but because she wanted to show her people that she would run the country in an economical way.

White was a much less expensive color to make than the colors typically popular for wedding dresses at the time (red, black, and purple). Plus, it gave her the option of using some lace that she already owned, rather than having something specially made.

So now our modern brides are breaking with tradition- to an extent -and are removing the typical white for other colors that match who they are as a woman, a bride and future wife.

Colors, textures and cuts all fitting the bride and bringing out the glow and essence of femininity.

This dress flowed in the gentle ocean breeze and was a complete compliment to her skin tone and her legs!

PS-

White is not the traditional color of purity. Blue is. It's the veil that represents virginity.

On your wedding day everything has to be perfect, even if you have to barter with Mother Nature herself. So we understand the importance of the selection of the right spot, the right beach, with the right waves rolling in. This all plays a factor in to the mind of a beach bride.

The good news is that you have choices- the bad news- really only 2 choices. You can either find everything a troublesome issue, or take tune of Bobby McFerrin's song into your head and "Don't worry and Be Happy".

When it comes to beach weddings- we are South Florida experts, so your first decision is to call Infinity Weddings & Events, LLC, at 786-427-5360,to help you select just the right spot.

We have been doing this since 1995 and we have a good feel for the beaches in South Florida. We are now offering a checklist to help with making a better beach selection decision- although after 17 years in the business- we know that half of the things you thought were important you won't even notice on the day of your wedding, but that is what we are here for.

Beach weddings are the most romantic events to date. It affects all five of your senses. Your eyes are drawn to the beauty of the sky and ocean, you feel to sand beneath your feet, the cool water, you can taste the air- so clean, you can smell the beach and you come alive. Now add that memory to your wedding day. You won't be able to forget it. Everytime you think of the beach you will remember that fabulous wedding- where love was in the air.

Below is our checklist- enjoy.

LOCATION-LOCATION- LOCATION

Go, if possible, during different times of the day. Morning, noon and evening.

We suggest on going on the same day your wedding will be ie- getting married on a Saturday at 6pm- then go on a Saturday at 6pm.

This will give you a better idea of sun, tides, and when the and how packed the beach tends to be.

It is also essential to try and get a location with some sort of back up location in case of weather. We currently have several locations that can hold a small wedding and some that can hold 200.

TIME-

If you are getting married on the East Coast note that the East gets the rising sun, while the West Coast or the Gulf Coast get the setting sun best. Key West- gets all of the sun.The East Coast gets a wonderful sunset at around 5PM- 7PM- depending on the season and we can find perfect locations for sunrise or sunset weddings.

BEACH GOERS

This also goes with the TIME category as you should determine what time the majority of the beach goers are well, going. In South Florida- the tourist level fluctuates from alot to alot more. Remember there is a reason you are selecting South Florida. It is one of the United States top destination wedding locations! So having your wedding on a weekday or after 6PM or early morning works very well and you run into less risk of having strangers at your wedding ceremony.

THE WEATHER

This is the most important element of your beach wedding day. Unlike other parts of the world that have 4 seasons, in South Florida there are only two- Raining Season and Hurricane Season. Luckily for the past 10 years, South Florida, Miami Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Key West have been fairly blessed to be virtually unscathed of disasters.

But having been in South Florida for 23 years and in business for 17 we know the weather pattern and can spot trouble.

The funny thing about the weather here in South Florida that it could literally rain across the street and be dry as a bone on the other street. So please make sure you heed our advise when necessary.

Beach Wedding- HAIR

You have so many options for your nuptial locks, but one thing remains true: your wedding day is no time for a bad hair day. If you’re like most brides, you want your hair -- along with everything else -- to look more beautiful than it ever has. When it comes to hairstyles, there tend to be two kinds of brides: those who want something dramatic and special to suit the occasion, and those who, if you’ll pardon the expression, don’t want to change a hair.
Of course, it is possible to achieve both looks at once: elegant, yet natural. It is also perfectly acceptable to pull out all the stops and go for the most dramatic hairstyle ever, including jewels and hair extensions. It’s all a matter of choice. And even if you do choose your everyday style, there are many touches you can add to look a bit more romantic, but still very much like you. The following are a few tips to help you achieve the bridal hairstyle for you.

Accessories

Hair accessories range from simple pearl headbands and tiny flower studs sprinkled throughout hair to jeweled hairpins, lace Juliet caps and glittering princess tiaras. When shopping for hair accessories, try to wear your hair in your bridal style to make sure the accessories will work. Tiaras look great on either short or long hair, and flowered or jeweled accessories are also quite versatile. Don’t forget to consider the style and color of your gown -- as well as your veil -- when selecting hair accessories.

Condition

Gown Style

When determining your wedding hairstyle, you might also consider the type of gown you will be wearing. For example, if your wedding gown has a medieval look, a sleek French twist and tiara may be out of place. Instead, you might wear your hair loose with some sort of floral wreath, or even an elegant braided style. On the other hand, if your dress is very streamlined or formal, wearing your hair in a sophisticated updo may be the way to go. Consider the neckline of your gown as well -- if you plan to wear your hair down, will it clash with the neckline or cover any special jewelry?

Another element to take into consideration is how formal your wedding will be. A formal wedding calls for an elaborate updo; however, the same style would look out of place at a very informal ceremony.

Last Minute Changes

This should be common sense, but in case you are suddenly inspired to change your hair dramatically for your wedding… don’t! If you absolutely must get that spiral perm or wild new color you’ve always had a hankering for, do it well in advance, as in several months before your wedding. That way, in case you hate it, you will have plenty of time to correct the problem (i.e., color it back, grow it out, or find a style you can live with) before your big day.

In fact, wedding experts advise that you "practice" your wedding hairstyle at least once before your wedding, whether you are styling it yourself or having a professional do it. Most stylists will do a "run through" for a minimal, if any, fee.

Chameleon

Many brides embrace the opportunity to change their hair for every wedding related event, marking each occasion with a different "do." For example, she might wear her hair in her natural style for her bridal luncheon; partially pulled back with jeweled accessories for her rehearsal dinner; and in a sophisticated updo with a tiara for her wedding.

But why so much fuss about hairstyles? Your hair is your crowning glory, and the frame for that gorgeous face of yours. Even Delilah figured out that it was the source of Samson’s power. Whether you opt for the simplest enhancement, such as a fresh flower tucked into a French twist, or a professionally sculpted curly updo, remember this: on your wedding day, you will be flushed with happiness, and surrounded by the people you love most in the world. It is virtually impossible to look bad under these circumstances. Your skin will glow, your eyes will sparkle, your hair will look divine, and of course, you will live happily ever after.

Beach Wedding ceremony-Sand Ceremony

One of the most classic ceremony is the Sand Ceremony and the symbolism of the ceremony touches the heart of those who understand what marriage means to them.

Another wonderful reason is that should you have children between you, you have the opportunity to share this with them.

Here is a sample of the ceremony wording we may use when we perform your wedding.

"As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be, united as one for all of your day."

Elizabeth and Jonathan's Platinum Wedding

It has been awhile since we completed the Platinum Wedding of Elizabeth and Jonathan, but we had realized that we never blogged about it. Very shameful of us. So we are correcting the error and blogging all about this fabulous platinum wedding.

Elizabeth is a bride who has strong ties to the fashion world and really knows what she wants. Jonathan, the love of her life, is an international business attorney and simply adores his beautiful wife.

We helped Elizabeth vision come to life with some wonderful vendors (see below).

This fabulous wedding and all its details was from the creative mind of the bride- Elizabeth, her fabulous brother, Ricardo and her gorgeous mother, Rayssa and their one and only wedding planner, Monica.

The style of her wedding was Modern- Baroque. We were able to blend both contrasting styles into a cohesive, very chic, very elegant, wedding.

Their sweetheart table was fit for a Queen and King; as the design was a structure baroque design, with tall trumpet design vases with orchids, roses and hydrangeas atop and hydrangeas in the front. The chairs pintuck with crystal button on patent leather and are themed from Alice in Wonderland.

Elizabeth and Ricardo did not want the table to sit so plainly on the bottom but they also did not want to take away from the uniqueness of the table and chairs; so they decided on light tulle to give the look of sitting on a cloud with under lighting. It turned out beautiful.

Elizabeth's gorgeous gown was an ethereal A- line design, with delicate pearls, crystals and sequins- the gown was given a light, flowly look with soft delicate tulle wrapped above a chiffon straight line dress.

This wedding gown was designed by Marchesa.

Jonathan's tuxedo was a tailored Hugo Boss tuxedo. With his silk tie and Prada shoes- G.Q., has nothing on this fashion forward groom.

BRIDAL BOUQUET:

Bouquet #1- was an array of white orchids and touches of light pink orchids, with crystal strands hanging down.

Bouquet #2- was an array of orchids, callas and roses with a flow of pinks, crystal and a crystal brooch.

INVITATION:

The invitation came about with the bride, her mother and Monica putting their brains together to come up with not only an invitation but an invitation that had that WOW factor. We looked at Lucite cut designs and although they were modern, they were just too modern.

We thought how can the guest be wowed and I thought of a box design where the guest can open the invitation and from there Elizabeth began to design it. Silk and crystals, side pockets to hold the R.S.V.P's and Registry. Crystal brooches in the front just gave that touch of glam!

Lillian Design, produced the actual invitation design, printed and added the small crystals on the invitations and it was stunning. The guest received their invitation in a satin drawstring bag and were WOWed by it.

Invitations we did was on Basketball Wives!!

So here I am watching this horribly addictive (at least to me) show called Basketball Wives and I am not ashamed; Have you seen the viewership rating? Anyway I digress to my story.

One of the characters, Evelyn Lozada, is getting married to Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson .

From what I understand the wedding is this summer. Although I do wish I was helping in the planning.

Anyhoo-

So, off she goes to look at "Save the Dates"; six months before her wedding! She is advised that this should have been done at the very minimum 9 months ago (especially for your out of state guests).

I continue- the exciting part for us, is that she went to Lillian's Designs in Miracle Mile and spoke with Ricardo and she likes the invitation that we designed!!! How exciting!!

The invitation was originally started with us offering something different from an envelope invitation. We suggested a box design. This bride is firmly rooted in the fashion industry and was and still very elegant and sophisticated. And she had a very clear vision and direction of where she wanted to go with the design of her dream wedding.

Searching the internet we found a way to have this beautiful silk covered box, with a crystal encrusted brooch made. As you open the box your embossed invitation (Made by Lillian Designs) invites your guest to the exclusive wedding. The side holds additional information, such as your RSVP, directional card etc. And anyone knowing us, knows we love the bling!! So tiny little crystals were placed tastefully on the invitation. Giving the right mix of high sophistication and glamour to an elegant wedding.

Although weddings that have this invitation look is a wedding of high glamour and considered our Platinum Weddings. We are able to do a more afforadble look and of course different textures, fabrics and colors.
